Ok thanks. I googled it but i didnt find anything. I guess i dont to worry about polygon turning since we dont have live tooling.

Polygon turning does not use live tools, just regular turning tools. Never seen it optioned on anything other than screw machines.

Yeah, sorry, unless we're thinking of different things, this is the first time I'm gonna have to disagree with you Vanc, polygon turning requires a live tool spindle that is synced with the main spindle, in my experience.

Yeah you can use the FANUC "Polygon Turning Ladder" option ($1400 IIRC on a 0i-TD) to turn polygons without live tooling. I seem to remember it got rid of the ability to do something else though with the limitations of the 0i.
