GE Fanuc Series One Programmable Control Help

Recently I posted about working on a Brown and Sharpe 1236 Micromaster and after all the issues with the hydraulic system have been fixed I am on to the next problem...

All of the solenoid valves and switches run through this series one control housed in the electrical cabinet. Tested valves and switches and everything works as it should.

Has anyone ever encountered one of these? I can manually engage the solenoid valves and the table/head moves as it should but there is no signal coming through the control.

This machine has the "Cycle Size" control that moves the head up and down so I don't think I would be able to remove the controller and just use the regular contactors.

I suspect it needs to be reprogrammed, I can get my hands on the programmer and the manual but don"t know what my "program" would be, any insight would be great.

Avoid the programmer. Automation Direct has a program called Directsoft that works with GE series 1 plc's. They have a demo version that you could use.

Now that I have that, anybody have a clue as to the program one would need to write for the B&S 1236 Micromaster?

Only a replacement parts manual

See if you can get an operation and service manual. Many times they will show the functions of the plc.

If you have the Directsoft installed and the proper cable try uploading the plc program into the laptop.
