Haas Spindle Tooling. HELP!

Evening all.

Hopefully you guys can offer some advice here.

We recently picked up a 2006 Haas VF2. The company we purchased it from were using Bt40 tooling, and supplied us with a couple of tool holders.

I noticed that we were having problems with tools slipping around in the carousel tool changer. I had a look and searched online and found the configuration of the tool changer is for CT 40 tooling (key plate under the fingers). So the Bt40 tooling is being held on the larger diameter and not in the groove.

My issue seems to be finding CT40 tooling anywhere in the UK. Could somone explain the difference between CT40 and CAT40 tool holders? There also seems to be SK40 (DIN 69871) is this suitable for the CT carousel tool changer?

So is CT40 and CAT40 the same?

I can't seem to find any detail on Ct40, but there is plenty of detail on CAT40.

"CT40" is short for "CAT40".
