Old dynapath? System 10 versus delta 20

I recently got a tree journeyman with dynapath system 10. The machine starts, and references, and jogs. I've yet to run a program but will soon, just sold my rpc to get a bigger one for this machine so waiting for that to get installed. Anyway the system 10 appears to be in good shape all the boards are clean, no known repairs.

I've also got a delta 20, that was on a tree 325, it is supposed to run but I have not tested it yet. It can drip feed programs so that's a plus. I've read that the delta systems were less prone to problems. It would take some work but I'm sure I can get it wired up. And have parts and smarts install the right program for the 310.

My question is what are other differences between the system 10, and delta 20. Do the both program the same. I know delta does conversational, Iso, and a form similar to gcode, I have a delta manual, but I'm not sure about system. Does the system 10 have other limitations.

What I'm trying to decide is should I just run the machine as is, or should I install the delta 20. The system and delta stuff is not compatible with each other, so one can't be spare parts for the other. So I'll sell the one I don't use

I'm following this thread, since I just picked up a 3 axis CNC mill with a Delta 10 controller and am curious about what you find out.
The seller demonstrated the control running programs to me, and hopefully I didn't shake anything too loose in transport.

My biggest question is whether I can drip/DNC gcode. I don't think the Delta 10 supports drip, but the 20 can/does (might be an additional option, but I don't know). I've also read that the Delta 10 might be upgradeable to the Delta 20.
The plate on my board rack in the electrical box says DELTA 10-MU
However, the boards can be pulled out and swapped.

I figure that if this control dies on me, the machine would be a good candidate for a retrofit with LinuxCNC or Mach 3.

Does your control have an MPG on it?
Mine doesn't, but the control has a conspicuous spot that looks like it is where an MPG is supposed to go.
If I can, I'd like to add a remote MPG to mine.

I don't know the Delta 20, but I had a System 10 that we ran regularly for several years, and even tho it was only 10 yrs old, I felt that we had way too many board issues with it, and upgraded to a Delta 40 when an opporntunity arrived. (>20 yrs ago at that!)
(actual control upgrade, not machine)
