Hi,
CS1000 is the old type of controller that my company has many of. We recently wanted to add stack lights to these machines (green, yellow, red) so we could tell the status of them from the distance. The machine's manual does not cover anything about how these lights can be added.
Also from I/O definition, there is no signal for "Run" or "E-stop" outputs. There is one reference to E-stop output for External IO but it does not seem to work.
Anyway, I was wondering if anyone had better luck on adding stack lights to their control systems. If you know the easy way to track the "Run" or "E-stop" signal Please Share.

ps: I was thinking of adding an extra M-code and trigger it at the beginning of my program, this way it would be ON for the duration of the entire program, M2 would turn it off. What that be the right approach?

Thank you
