Has anyone replaced with any success on a hitachi seiki lathe with seicos 3 control the NEC Adu05f AC Servo Drive(single axis) with for example a fanuc or other type servo drive. As there is 3 of these smaller nec drives on this lathe a more readily available alternative would be the way to go if possible. Thanks

The Nec servo drive connections are as follows

Input 200/220v AC single phase.
output 200/220v AC 3 phase.
P , N For external DC bus connection.
Plug for encoder feedback (J100).
Plug for NC/SASS card control connections(I have no pin out details for this plug which is a problem)

Given you seemed to be locked down on every thread that you start, and this one seems to be the only one open or not locked down. You are aware the bloke that owns this show
TeaJunky;345824It was a bad title for the thread the intention of the thread was to warn people as other try to stay clear of some types of old cnc Machines

Did you read about the Viper here? He was super sub sonic manufacturing.

Post your questions in the CNC sub.

Hitachi Seiki have been defunct for a long time now, and not the most commonplace to begin with. There are people here who know them and the Seicos, but you need to ask in the right place in order to get their attention, and exercise some patience in waiting for a reply, as not everyone checks in all that frequently.

If you keep posting CNC questions in the wrong sub then you're absolutely not going to get the responses you're looking for.

Looks like the Op went off meds on 12-18-2019.

So this thread is moot (and should be locked)
