One of the shops I deal with is an electrical motor repair shop. They only have manual equipment at this time and would like to start budgeting for a CNC lathe and start researching options. They feel they need a minimum of 8 foot cutting capability and 24 inch swing. They would like a new lathe - not considering used. I have a number in my head but would like to give them better feedback.
What would you recommend for lathe options for a motor repair shop? Brand? Features? Clearly they will be making mostly electric motor rotor shafts.
