Issue switching brother tc324n from metric to imperial

Hello, I am having an issue switching over to imperial. I changed the machine over fine, and restarted, but started getting deviation errors when moving the axes. I looked in the parameters page(i also have the paper copy so I know the original parameters), and instead of say 28000 pulses(checked in metric mode and paper copy), the machine scaled the number by 25.4 to 1102 pulses. Should this number not be the same between modes? A pulse is a pulse right, no matter metric or imperial. Thanks

It you have understood the machine's logic, modify accordingly.
Switching between metric and imperial always has some issues. It is better to use only metric or only imperial on a particular machine.

I would like to be in imperial as that is what I use day to day, my other machine is imperial, as are all of my tool libraries. So if I can get it switched over it would make my life easier. I just don't want to change the parameters and have unintended consequences
