    If you know what you are doing it is just a bunch of simple things you have to do in the correct order, nothing is really hard. I built a frame with 2 2x4 and one 2x6 boards, stuff I had on hand, to hold the motor up while I ran the head down to remove the motor, easy, cheap, and very good control. No special tools either. If you can indicate a 4 jaw chuck to .0002" then you can swap your spindle.

    When I update my spindle rebuild post I will document the steps needed to do it.
