Moving a 6600 lb Nakamura-Tome Slant Jr. Lathe across town without manual to tell where to support/lift. Anyone have manual or experience moving one? My manual not here yet. Pic at link. Think move from dock to rollback wrecker at origin will be rolling on skates or whatever, and lifting with straps at destination. There don’t seem to be fork pockets, and machine goes too close to ground to check where forks might fit safely. https://flic.kr/p/2kqWQUg

Toe jack it up and set it in blocks so you can get your forks under it.

Or if you don’t got a toe jack just get the tips of the forks under and tip it up a bit and get some wood blocks in. Till you get it up on both sides. Then just run your forks under and pick it on up.

Moved one this summer. The entire base of the machine is a sturdy casting so its pretty much fair game to put the forks wherever. As said, lift it with fork tips and block with wood until you can slide forks all the way under.
