Not knowing much about CNC machines except for edge finding, tool touch off, and some basic programing offsets that I help with in a production shop part time. So you could say that I'm your basic "load part, push start" kind if guy, and since I'm semi retired, I jumped off into playing around with these machines about three years ago. Friend of mine ran across a good running Takisawa MAC-V1E with Fanuc 0MB (late 80's)steering for a very good $. Just now getting the machine fired up and going through what manuals that came with it and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to load tooling into the spindle/carousel. There is no dedicated tool button unlike the HAAS's and Miltronics that I'm used to. So anyone out there that may have some experience with is model, please steer me in the right direction. I shot this same question out in a hobbyists forum with no luck. Please don't beat me up too bad. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried contacting Takisawa USA in Schaumburg IL? 847-419-0046
You may want to start with Brian Holme (sp?) the parts mgr. He is very helpful and has been with Takisawa many years.
