I have a Romi C420 with a older Siemens 802 Sl control. In the past My only option to get code to and from the lathe was Compact Flash (CF) memory or RS232 serial. After removing the back cover from the control I noticed a USB connector. I tested it, purchased a extension cable and 3D printed a replacement RS232 serial port cover. This sure is better that those old expensive CF memory cards. I hope someone finds this useful. I'm sure everyone loves finding new feature of their control.
