As long as you maintain the center height of the tool tip, yes. You will find tool shanks to be a bit on the hard side, so plan on a carbide endmill etc.

Yeah, like Dan (from Oakland) said, just make sure you remove material from the right side of your tool holder to maintain insert center height. Likewise, you can shim a smaller holder to fit a larger slot as long as you put the shim on the proper side. Good luck!
