Meldas controller help!

I have a 1993 Mitsubishi M-v40 Milling center I bought from the original owner and I verified this through Mitsubishi. The machine sat for two years unplugged and reverted back to Japanese language on the controller. I spoke to Mitsubishi and they helped me change it back to English but now I get a bunch of alarm codes on the screen. They told me that it probably has to have the parameters reinstalled and the only thing I don't have is the back up disk but Mitsubishi did sent me the parameters in print but I have no idea how to manually enter them. IF anyone can help walk me through how to manually input these or if anyone has the disk I'd really appreciate it! Ill put a video link of it at the bottom.
 
I believe before you can enter them you need to go to ALARM/DGN
PLC/
and enter (1001) ( ) (M) input.

This allows you to bring up and edit all the stuff you don't want the average operator dicking with.

Rebooting or entering (1001) ( ) (U) will put it back into "user" mode

Can you verify the steps here? I've got a touchscreen interface on my machine so the menu structure is a bit different, but once in the PLC-I/F screen, entering in ( 1001)( )(M) gives an E01 SETTING ERROR message which means the format is not correct.

On newer Meldas' it's 1001//M.
 
1989 vintage Meldas 300 series. Forget if its a 320M, 330M or 335M. If I enter the data in the area I circled and hit input then the controller will show all kinds of setting that weren't there before such as spindle accel/deccel. Changing some parameters requires a reboot for them to take effect while some others don't.

Post the first few 10-20 lines of the file that Mitsu gave you. There are 2 data formats that can be used so I want to be sure what you have since the process to enter the different formats is also different.

Also, since I'm an GOF (Grumpy Old Fucker) I'm gonna ask that you ditch the youtubes and just post pics. Sitting through a video for things like this is too slow. Resolution sucks and the screen flicker is annoying at best and unreadable at worst.

Hand keying in the parameters looks worse than it really is. If the first few lines of your file look sort of like this....

You'll need to enter them by RS-232 from a PC. This could be entered by hand but decoding it for key entry is a PITA.

If it looks more like...

1001 101
1002 301
1003 BBB
1013 XYZC
....

Then it is easy to hand key in that data.
 
Nice, its definitely the same controller I have. I'm not sure how to begin entering the parameters on the paper I have with the parameters listed.
 
ok here is a sample of the 22 pages that Mitsubishi sent me and I have no idea what to do with this mountain of information.

To be honest I've never had to hand enter the parameters on a Meldas, only on Fanucs. In the past I've played around with spindle and servo settings on the Meldas which is why I know how to get it in "M" mode. Listen to what Vancbiker says, hes forgotten more about these things than I will ever know.
