Default Moore CNC Jig Grinder control wont come on.

Moore CNC Jig Grinder control wont come on. Moore 450 CPR with a Fanuc Series 15-MA control 01/91 . It worked up until a year ago when it started acting up and would just suddenly shut off as if you hit the power button on the control. That progressed until it would only start up and get half way through the warm-up program and we then just stopped turning it on. Tried it today and absolutely nothing happened. I don't think the memory has been lost as the batteries are only two years old.

I am NO electrician but my thoughts are possibly a bad power supply.

    What are your ideas?

I recently had a very similar problem on a HMC with a 15M control. One morning we came in and the power would just shut off after being on for a little bit. Later that day, it wouldn't come on at all. I think it is a 15MB control, but it should be similar enough. Anyway, it was indeed the Fanuc power supply for the control. I was able to easily diagnose it because I have a nearly identical machine that I could swap power supplies with. If you don't have another power supply that you could swap with, you could always send the power supply out to be tested. I can suggest some companies to do that if you like.

And be careful when removing your power supply. Some have the batteries on the power supply and can't be unplugged for too long without losing parameters. That would make it difficult to send out to be tested.
