I am an intern at a company specializing in blow mold and trim tool machining. We have an (old) wire EDM that my supervisor wants to use on a particular part. They have been using the generic MPWFANUC post processor but it requires manual editing for every operation to remove the header and add/change various lines of gcode. Since I have a background in computer science, they have given me the task of editing the post so they do not have to do it manually every time in the gcode.
I was able to remove the junk from the header and add in a few new lines at the start of file, however I do not fully understand the logic paths and some of the syntax in order to change the rest. The powers-that-be do not wish to spend money and have our mastercam reseller do it. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!
