Does anyone have a manual for or know about 1980s-vintage Lovejoy MPR-IV motor drives?
This is installed as the spindle motor drive on my '84 Fadal VMC 40. I'm trying to determine whether I can add a load meter to this machine. It was not equipped with one from the factory. From what I've read, most Fadals were equipped with motor drives that had a 0-5VDC output proportional to the current being drawn by the drive. This was then connected to the backplane board for the load meter input. That said, none of the Fadal manuals talk about this Lovejoy drive and there are many many other odd things about this machine since it is from the first year of Fadal production. So, I would really like to confirm what the drive itself can do without assuming anything. Just knowing what the terminal outputs are on this drive would be perfect.
There is a manual for one of these on amazon for $125 but that's above my entire budget for this little upgrade. Hoping someone on PM can help out.
