Alright...
I’ve heard enough about this Xometry crap. Y’know I tried the test part, but didn’t bother finishing it because I had perfectly good paying customers that I’d have sacrificed spindle time for at the time, and I don’t regret it one bit.
What I want to know is how this should be done. Some other bloke had some wishy-washy shop network that I wasn’t really sure what the heck he was after, even after he explained it a bunch of times.
So what should Xometry be?
It’s supposed to be an online job bidding site where partner shops have an easier time finding work. Instead it’s a rats nest of over-complicated under-priced crap work with an endless array of hoops to jump through.
By the time I showed up, MFG.com was a wasteland, so I don’t really know about that.
What’s the target market? How do you reach them? What’s the right way to divvy up the work? What should the inspection reports look like?
If I ruffled your feathers, that’s fine. I’m killing time while the Army has me in “hurry up and wait” mode.
