I was led to this site while marveling over a fancy Swiss-made 5-axis mill that
could precisely mill wristwatch cases without a tool change.
I doubt that many shops here have such equipment, but I am looking for a
machinist that can:
1. machine (mill?) a wristwatch case
2. including screw back
3. with secondary operations such that
4. a skilled watchmaker/repairperson (not horologist) can complete assembly
5. . . . out of silver
I am guessing that milling the assembly is the way to go, although I am open to
professional guidance that it should be cast, then machined?
We have a 3D model of the design and a test casting of SLA epoxy.
We are in NW Arkansas, but are amenable for the shop to be anywhere, but
preferably in the US.
We need an initial 10 test units, in preparation of an ultimate run of 1,000.
Any guidance would be appreciated as to who can help with this project . . . as
well as any other requirements that must be specified.
Regards,
Jay Honeycutt
