Reading another post, and I saw the 'Mid Auto Manual' button mentioned. I have a OSP5020 with that button (LNC-8), and have dug through the manuals I have trying to discern what all the features of that button are, and how to use it properly.
I get the feeling from the other post here, that it allows you to stop in the middle of a program, do something in manual and then start back where the program left off. Is that correct? The only other lathe I have experience on has an OSP3000 (LC-10) which does not have that option.
Would those of you familiar with the use of the Mid Auto Manual button be willing to run me through some of the uses/benefits from having it? Or if you have a manual that discusses it in depth, if you might share the manual number so I can try and find that manual to read up on it? One of my main concerns/questions is if it can be used in the middle of a LAP cycle.
So far the only thing I have used it for came from a post I found somewhere about it... was so that the actual position included the tool offsets when doing some manual things.
There are a lot of times I wished that the LC10 would allow me to stop in mid program, do something, and then continue on without having to start over or attempt the sequence restart when the program has LAP cycles in it.
Thanks
Wade
