I would like to set my tools off the bottom of my machining table as opposed to the top of my part in case of tools breaking. I’d just like to know if the (Z) value in the G54 offsets page would add to the H values I have in my register? for example the height difference between the table and work piece is around 5 inches. If I add the difference in the Z Column under G54 offsets will the machine add that offset value to where my Tools are originally set? Or are all offsets based on machine coordinate values like the Y and X are?
