Today I had to fix hole which was worn oval. So I welded some material and machined the hole. Hole needed to be 8mm diameter and I had 6mm end mill. I manually input the code and used G03 with Z helical interpolation. I was wondering what Z value to use for every full circle. I quess this is dictated by plunge angle so say 3°(=alpha) was to use. So X*tan(alpha) = Z. So my question is should X be in this case pi*2 or pi*8?
