Has anyone removed Manual Guide I? I use cad/cam and have never
had a use for it.

Seems all it does is slow my bootup time way down and likely
uses up some of the small amount of memory the machine has.

Following this one. Would love to ditch it.

I doubt that it uses a "small amount of memory".

I deleted CAP from an "18" many years ago (with help from the guys @ Hardinge) and gained a substantial amount of available memory.
But I can't qualify how much anymore...

BUT - I wish I knew the process yet as I would love to delete it from a 16T now!

Maybe it's just me, but MGi seems to be pretty handy for running graphics/simulations. This is on 0i-D series controls though. I can't speak for others...

That is for which?

M/G or CAP?
Or either?

That would be Manual Guide i. There is a parameter but I am not divulging that because it would be permanent. As Jashley said, there are good points about MGi. It's simulation is pretty good.

Dragging up an old post;

So, fully understanding that it would be permanent and that I am fine with that, what might that parameter be? 18i-TB in this case...
