Rotary table Fanuc drive question

I recently bought a 30.5" rotary table at an auction, it is huge, weighs in at 4,130 lbs. Here's my question, how does the fanuc drive actually turn the table? There isn't a visible link between the drive motor and the rotary table. There are air lines and three steel lines under the table leading to the center point of rotation, but no drive shaft, worm gears or other visible means of revolving/indexing the table. There is an elaborate system of pressure regulators and several lines going to several areas.

I took some access panels off and there was a set of bevel gears crowded in there. The air, when activated, lifts the table about a quarter inch, then the table can rotate, but it looks like it drops in lock position every one degree, not fractions of a degree.
