Is this normal on Integrex or have the previous users messed something up? Seems weird... (don´t mind the texts, the machine is in finnish)

And if it is normal, how can I change the tool manually. When performing a tool change the machine asks for a tool number and changes to the first of the numbers.

and yes, I´m a noob on this machine

Machine: Mazak Integrex i-200
Control: Mazatrol Matrix 2

Yes this is normal for an Integrex, because you can have multiple definitions for the same tool. Because the mill spindle can index different directions for turning style tools, so you can have Tool 1A for the main spindle and tool 1B for the subspindle for instance.

The letter codes are assigned in the "ID Code" field on tool data.

You specify which tool you want with a suffix code at the end like so:

1A = 1.01
1B = 1.02
1C = 1.03
etc.

This is explained in the EIA/ISO programming manual for the machine.

Along with that, each tool ID can have different offsets.
