Hello!!

I'm in charge of innovations and new projects in the company I work.

We make progressive dies and we are looking to buy a medium-large new VMC.

We might have budget to buy a ≈ 80" x 40" size machine.

I already quoted two machines, HAAS VF-7 and Pinnacle LV 209. Does anyone has references about Pinnacle machines? In Mexico they are not well known but they say that are far superior from Haas and I've seen the way they are build and the Pinnacle LV 209 seems be a good machine. That might be true, I believe that buying a VF-7 is not the best option because is the same structure as a VF-4 but larger.

Can someone tell me other medium-large machines that I can quote, I've seen a OKK VM76R but is not that big and I believe is expensive, the VM76R is around 60" x 30", but it seems to be very rigid machine.

I would really appreciate if someone can give me some advise of which machine could be a good option.

Thank you!

Place I retired from had an Okuma V852 and it was a superb machine. Not quite to the 80x40 envelope though but Okuma has a model V1052 that is. I suspect it would be an excellent machine just like the smaller V852. Not likely that your budget will make it to Okuma quality if you are looking at Haas or the no name Pinnacle.

I'm not looking at them, those are the only ones I've already quoted. I'm looking for other options because I don't really know other options. I'm going to look at that Okuma you are talking about!

The reality is that Pinnacle is as you sayd, no name. No one knows that brand but I've seen the construction and it seems really intersting.

Thank you!

You might want to look at a Doosam Mynx 9500/50. I work for Doosan and know that Doosan is heavily supported in Mexico. The 9500 is a very rigid, box way machine with a travel of 98" X 37" X 33".

Thank you, I will talk with my local seller about that machine.

I only knew the DNM Series and they seem to be great machines!
