Semicolon necessary for Mazak Matrix control?

We just got our first Mazak, an Integrex Gen IV with a Matrix control.

I see that example gcode in the manuals show semicolons ; at the end of each line of code.

Are the semicolons necessary for this control?

Not necessary when writing/posting your program from the computer. Each line will be given a semi-colon/End-Of-Block character when you load the program.

When editing on the control, I believe the ENTER key will insert the semi-colon/EOB character.
