Anyone have pictures of the way they store the smaller radius gages say from 1/64 to 1"? I really don't like the little plastic packs they come in.

Yea I hate those and the older leather ones as well. The plastic ones get brittle and break. Seems to me some sort of sewn codura nylon w/ velcro closure, that folds, would be a good way to go.

If you don't mind a little shelf space used, rout (route?) pockets into a sheet of acrylic. They don't have to be individual, you can stack (for instance) four at a time and conserve area.

A further depression on one side gives you a finger press point to tip them up for easy retrieval.

Or, a block of acrylic with bandsaw slices into one side, spaced at ~1/4" pitch, then two bounding sheets on either side so the gauges can't slide out.

(This is where I reveal my acrylic fetish, will all my endmill stands made from it)
