I've owned this old Kuraki KV-700 VMC for several years and it has never displayed the actual spindle speed while running in any mode (Memory, MDI, Jog, etc).

I'd like to know if there is/are some parameter(s) I need to change or enter to display my actual spindle RPM.

It seems to be only a parameter or data issue because:
1) The spindle pickup is working for sure, because the spindle orient command and tool change orientation works fine.
2) The correct spindle speed is also shown by the analog meter (on the NC control panel).
3) Rigid tapping works properly too.

Here's a photo of the Program Check screen while running a program from memory. The commanded spindle speed (blue underline) is 3000 RPM, but the actual spindle speed (red underline) is zero.

These are the parameters with the heading (SPINDLE) when displayed on the CRT. They are cut/pasted here from my backup file.

Thanks for any help or suggestions with this.

The actual spindle speed display is an option. Depending on you System Software version, that option may be simply turned on. It may also needed additional eproms.
What is your software version?

Many times, the spindle speed isn't displayed as there is hardware not installed such as encoder feedback, etc. This stuff can be field installed from either Fanuc or Kuraki, but it can be costly.

This particular machine does not have a real spindle encoder. Just the pickup / trigger for RPM feedback signal and orientation with the tool-changer.
Seems like the RPM would feed-back to the control from that trigger through the spindle drive, but that is just a "logical assumption" on my part.

I probably won't hire them to install a spindle encoder any time soon, but if there's a software way to do it I'll go down that rabbit hole a bit to try it.
