I have a friend with a Takisawa TS10 CNC lathe that has bad ROM. It has a FANUC control. It's either a 6B or 6M. I'll have to double check.
The board is a Fanuc A20B-0008-0480. From what I understand the ROM is specific to the machine.
Anyone know where I can find the ROM chips for this machine, or replacement chips?

It would be a 6T. 6M is a mill control. Both T and M were made in A and B versions.

How do you know the ROM is bad? Also, there are a couple locations for the ROM used on the 6 series. There is ROM on the motherboard. That is the actual Fanuc firmware. There is also ROM on at least one daughterboard located at slot CAB or CAS. The ROMs at that location are machine specific and contain the ladder logic written by the machine builder.

Are you getting some alarm codes????? Post them and it may help narrow down your problem area.
