Toyoda Spindle Nose

I have a Toyoda FA-400 with a 14k spindle. Some of the coolant nozzles are no longer spraying coolant. Has anyone ever removed the spindle nose cover to clean things out? I'm thinking there are some chips clogged up in there. I DO NOT want to risk disrupting any seals etc. that might let coolant get into the spindle bearings. Any help much appreciated. Thanks

Hi John,

Not directly familiar with your machine, but sometimes those coolant nozzles are held in by a simple snap ring. Meaning you might be able to check for clogging without digging very deep. Also, don't you have a parts manual? There should be a section view of your spindle in there. A close inspection of that drawing should answer a few things for you.
