TRAK DPM Monitor

Monitor on the old mill,1996 I think, is blank. No service available here so will have to try to fix myself. What to check? Power supply, card or monitor itself?
If it turns out to me the monitor can it be replaced with a generic unit? Pretty sure this machine is not worth what SWI would want for a new monitor.

Never messed with a DPM before, but I know the MX and AGE series had interchangeable monitors. And the last "repair" estimate I received was quoting me a new pendant plus a trade in when all I asked for was the monitor replaced.

Does the DPM have the weird connector instead of the VGA that most others have?

You can buy a LCD conversion kit from EBay which is cheaper then a refurbished pendant.

did you check the fuses? on our smx controls if the 1amp fuse blows- the screen goes out. replace fuse and keep making chips.

If it’s an old CRT type screen there is a knob on the back of the pendant that controls the screen contrast. Always worth eliminating
