Good Morning, we have been looking at different lathe options. We currently have mostly Doosan lathes(which are hard to get now) and a Hyundai Wia and Miyano. There is a Hwacheon in stock.....anyone here bought one in the last couple years and how do they compare to Doosans?

Any shops near you running them?
Doosan, like many other builders is experiencing supply chain issues.

Not directly, I did buy a Doosan horizontal in the past. The build quality between the two is very similar. If you are close you are welcome to come see them. Are you dealing with Maruka?

We bought a B230 with live tooling. 3.2 spindle bore. Lots of HP, kinda slow, poorly tooled. 1 radial live tool and 1 axial. Luckily it is the same BMT-65 as Haas so the secondary market is well stocked. Poor conveyor design. Given the choice, I would rather a Doosan, just for the control layout and familiarity. Build quality is just as good.

Had a nice long post about it, went to edit it and it deleted the post. Sorry for not putting forth the effort a 2nd time.
