X axis buzzing and noise

Okuma Cadet Mate OSB700 worked fine yesterday. This morning X axis motor is buzzing and axis is noisy when it moves. Any ideas what I can check before calling service

Motor and feedback connections, at the motor and at the drive.

The wiring diagram is about useless as no ledger to figure out what each thing is. Nothing is labeled in the cabinet. I've located the axis drive but no way of knowing what each wire does. This is above my pay grade I guiess. This machine was built by ZPS for Okuma and they put screws in the oddest places. I haven't figured out how to get X axis way cover off short of drill some holes in the enclosure.
Thanks for the idea though. One thing I've noticed is the ball screw is vibrating when machine is at rest.
