Default Aciera F5 - Have you tested your speeds

Have anyone tested if the actual speeds really conform to the numbers on the speed dial?

I did check. The speeds are adequately close for manual milling. I recall they were within 20%. It's not like I'd be rigid tapping with it. I could adjust using the motor turnbuckle or indexing the speed dial as shown in the manual.

I tested mine today and when at 90=spot on, 1000=spot on BUT 580 was like 540, a little strange But that´s the best i could get it.

On my machine, the results would depend on whether I came at the desired speed from above or below. If you consider that the speed is set wherever a rubber belt and a bunch of springs decide to seek equilibrium, it is not surprising the speed can vary from what is indicated on the dial.

Yeah that´s true. I will run a few more tests tomorrow along the entire speed dial and see what I get.
