Hello all,

Does anyone know where I can view, on-line, a
Dialog 4 user manual. I have googled it, but
mostly I get the typical scam download sites.

Or does anyone have a E-copy they could email me
at [email protected]?

Another question, what do you do when the control
craps out? Are there repair parts available, or good
people who do a good job at board level repair.

Or are you stuck with a retrofit by the good Doctor?

Thanks for any help.

No idea where to download, but for a little (40$ or so) money, I can scan you my manual. It's in german and something like 300pages however and I have to disassemble the bindings, do to so.

Dialog 4 repair is rather simple, at least compared to Dialog11 repairs. No special parts and I have EPROM dumps of several different software versions, so not really scary. Dialog4 machines are more scary with mechanics than electronics, IMO.

I believe Alan Hantke still sells a DVD that includes the Dialog 4 manual and a whole lot more. His PM name is Wrench. He is an excellent resource for Euro machine info.

For some board level repairs suggest the same: Alan Hantke (Wrench) . He has done repairs for me on occasion. Has dome upgrade work on the power supply boards for my machines that are
in service...Good guy and fair on cost!

Other possible would be exchange repaired boards from Singer (Germany) The boards are i am told not too complex having discrete components that a "wire Head" can often repair.
The orange book has the circuit diagrams for "most" of the boards.

Cheers Ross
