Hi all

I have a old FP1 I've never tried running. I noticed there are no drive dogs on the spindle...how can i get druve dogs on there so i can use tooling from either my adcock shippley S2 or my induma 1s or abene vhf-3. I saw on a video a adaptor plate exists, anyone know where i can get one?

Thanks

For the majority of work you don't need the drive dogs. It would be easy to make though. Singer might sell them but it won't be cheap.
It looks like your drawbar has been modified already, but it doesn't look like it'll handle much tightening.
What taper tooling do you have?

Drive dog is easy to make yourself
As you seem to use the Din 2080 tooling or US equivalent you need a 1mm shim with 2 notches on the inside and then 2 drive dogs also with a notch each
Looks like this

But I agree with Criss999 you can do without
But you need a better drawbar A piece of allthread will do Thread is even stronger as it is rolled On some you need to skim the thread a bit to let it pass the hole
A nut with a set screw or softsoldered in place can funtion as the push out shoulder Turn it down for the correct OD
A original one looks like this
