    Default Deckel FPxNC Spindle Bearings

    Hi All,

Did the FPxNC spindles have duplex ball bearings that had a 3,150 rpm max speed?

What models had the duplex ball bearings?

FP2NC, FP3NC and FP4NC all models have needle roller bearings on the horizontal spindle.
Early models, up until around 1985, have the same arrangement on the vertical spindle.
Only the later "Flip head" machines with the 2 speed upper gearbox (3150/6300rpm) have preloaded angular contact bearings-"ball" type.

FP5NC's had angular contact ball bearing spindles for both the vertical and horizontal....Believe this applies to machines having variable frequency spindles , 6300 RPM on both horiz and vertical....

Box ways for the "Y" as well.

    Cheers Ross
