Deckel High Speed Head Identifiaction

B Brat is spot on....All the top mounting dovetails on the manual Deckels (FP1,2,&3) are the same size. length and position of the installed
accessory or head will be different from the FP1 to the larger models....
This holds true for the FP-NC's (FP2,3 & 4NC) as well....FP2NC shares the same 14 1/2* drive gearing that is used on the FP1.

Cheers Ross

If it is not NT40 it has the taper for the M16x1,2mm collets
Deckel never made a high speed head with S20x2 collets
The M16x1,2 collets are rare
RC machines in Luxembourg used to sell these Perhaps still do

Thanks Peter, I was mistaken! I thought the collets were called S20?
The collets that fit the SO and SOE cutter grinders, are they the same that fit this head?

Kevin

No
The S20x2 collets fit the Deckel SO and SOE and with the proper adaptor the Deckel milling machines
The S20x20 is in fact the treaded end of the collets and also the NT40 taper and also the MT4 tapers from Deckel
The older high speed heads like yours have a different taper The M16x1,2
do not ask me why
