Deckel Slotting Head Identification??

Hi folk

I have the chance to purchase a Deckel Slotting head ...

However I have never seen one in the flesh and only know there is a difference between the FP1 version and the FP2 version gear wise.

Can anyone please point out any "OBVIOUS" tell tail signs between the two versions.

There does not appear to be any information plate on the head other than the height / speed rate one.

All comments gratefully received.

I believe that the part numbers are different. The FP2 slotting head is part 2211 and the FP1 slotting head is 2111. This part number is stamped on the dovetail part of the casting, followed by a serial number.

It was the one that finished Sunday morning - Very clean with tools and is an FP2 Head

Hi Bruce, here's a few before collection:

Now cleaner and running freely. The slotting tools are round shanks rather than square but that's an easy fix.
