Impressive worm gear cutting video

Yes, it's a fantastic channel that I have been following for over a year. He doesn't post often, but when he does, it is always worth watching.

He has a particularly interesting one about a threading dial for threading metric and Imperial threads.

I came across this video and was impressed by the ingenuity of the setups and methods, including using part of a nearby mountain to index against. He has other videos that I have not investigated yet, but I certainly will.

Machining a Dividing Head's Worm Wheel Replacement - YouTube

There is content that justifies posting in this area, but really it could have gone into General as easily.

He also has this video about reconditioning his Mikron WF-1
.

Incidentally his indexing head accuracy test results, combined with the fact that I keep seeing listings for the Deckel optical rotary table pop up, prompted me to go lookup the accuracy specs for the Deckel optical rotary table. The +-5 arc seconds sounds impressive, but perhaps his accuracy problems came from the cutter profile, rather than positioning accuracy for the gashes he cut.
