That particular indexing "table" is mine (for the moment).
It works like a regular indexer in most regards, however, it has some advantages if you use it with an FP-1 milling machine it was designed for....
First, it "replaces" the actual table of the mill so you don't loose any Z axis clearance while using it.
Also, it not only rotates, but also swivels in two more directions so it becomes not only an indexer, but an indexer/angle plate combo. It also directly accepts the stock toolholders that would normally go in the spindle in addition to faceplates or chucks.
The over-arm and tailstock are removeable and are for supporting longer pieces.
Really a cool setup actually, and well built.
