Narex boring head - quick adjust jammed?

Hi,

Hoping this is the right location to solicit opinions since you all are likely using this or similar heads.

I have a Narex VHU, it’s in perfect condition but after sitting for a few months the rapid adjustment screw has become jammed. The head works entirely normally otherwise. I’m at a loss for what is causing this issue.

Did you put your hexagon key far enough in the spindle?
There is a blocking mechanism what must be triggered by the key.

Theres 3 steel balls inside the hexagon to lock the screw from turning. This is only for coarse adjustment. You need to insert the allen key deep enough to unlock it. Dont use ball headed allen key. There isnt anything else what can stop it from rotating. Check that the gib lock is loose.
