I know the feeling, I hope you got it cheap at least to compensate the issues you have had. But if that's all the problems you got then it's still not too bad, the replacement head is barely an issue at all, maybe even a positive as you got a "fresher" head instead of an old worn one.

Dear John,
Did you write to the company to describe the problem and ask for compensation? I would certainly advise this, because if the company is a professional one and a responsible one, then they will try to make up for this mistake. It was not sold to you "used as-is" but with assurances about its condition.

Hi folk
To those that commented about me contacting SIE Machines (namely Bruce, Peter and Thanos) ...
Well I did, Initially by email with the details of issues and assorted pictures.
A response was prompt and I was offered what I feel was satisfactory compensation. I followed up the dealer's email with a phone call to thank him and "clear" the air. Just now waiting for the compensation to hit my account.
Bruce - Thanks for the "push" to do it!
Peter - Thanks for assuring me the dealer was an honest / straight guy to deal with!
Thanos - Thanks for sharing your "Overseas" experience too!
