Yeah, I bought 2 mills now just to get the universal tables on them. The problem was one of them turned out to be so nice I couldn't bring myself to remove the table. This was an FP4NC with D3 control where one axis board needed replacement (which neither I, nor DMG knew when I bought it). Replaced the board and sold the whole deal later for way more than I paid DMG.

The other one is the current FP2NC parts machine...bought just to get the mythical unobtanium "small" universal table. That one at least is beyond redemption since previous owner dropped it on it's backside...plus it has been slathered with porch paint. The yellow universal table still awaits my cleanup and repaint.

I don't do PM's anymore...my pm box is eternally full so I gave up on it. Email me at [email protected] and tell me what info you want as I've forgot by now.

    Default Wanted "prestine" FP4NC

Looking for a 90% or better mechanical and cosmetic condition machine must have horizontal quill so no last generation machines not like that would happen anyhow.Condition of or type of control are irrelevant although I would prefer a dialog machine.Leads would also be appreciated.I got a plan man
I wonder how many years this will take?

Think FPS in Germany has just what you want. Completely rebuilt FP-NC's ...stripped down to nothing and rebuilt. Has like new performance and accuracy i am told....think they refinish as well.
    Cheers Ross

Yeah, tell me about it.I might as well buy a Kunzmann at that point.Being that these machines are R&D, prototype, tool&die etc. type mills with mostly odd controls by US standards. There should still be a fair amount of cherries out there.I'm more than capable of rebuilding a machine myself I just don't have the time.I know of one mill that fits the bill but I don't think the owner wants to part with it.I have thought about this and all in all finding a hardly used mill would be the best bet time and money wise.As far as Singer, they must still think they are on their German vacation screw off month. Its been over two weeks since I requested a quote on basic items all of which are listed on their ebay store. If it takes this long to give a quote how long does it take to fill an order?I'd be waiting 5 years for a machine.

I just realized you meant fps and not singer although I've been on their site there are no prices listed which usually means get the astro glide, bite on a stick, and grab your ankles .Is there an english option on their site I can't find?

Looking for a Deckel, Maho, Hermle, etc. with NC or CNC controls beyond useful life or not repairable but perhaps in serviceable mechanical shape. Let me know if you have a machine available. Thanks!

Default Looking for a nice small Euro horizontal milling machine

    Hello all,

I would like to get a European style horizontal milling machine to go with my Emco Super 11.

I've had a Hardinge TM/UM but sold it a while back.

One having a MT 2, MT 3, or MT 4 spindle would be nice

    Thank you,

Jason (jasonspangle at hot mail dot com)

    Red face

that's a super long shot, but I'd like to find an index head for a Deckel S11 tool and cutter grinder... Preferably SK40.

Any condition considered, any pointers appreciated. Would also consider a trade with a radius attachment for the same machine.

Here what it is supposed to look like (I don't need the tailstock)...

    Thanks in advance

Does anyone have just the T-slotted table for a 2038 Universal table for an FP3/4NC? I found the rest of the table, but the shop that had it took the top off and used it for a fixture (!).

I'm hoping there's a damaged table out there with a good top. Anyone?

Good grief.... can you come up with a list of names of who did that so we can arrange a firing squad ? I would think the chances of finding a good top by itself similar to you being hit in the head by a meteor in the next fifteen minutes.

You're probably right, but I'll hope for a miracle.

I have some T slotted plates on hand, how thick would one have to be to use it to make a replacement table? And how complicated is the underside of those tables?

Since you are looking for long shots, contact GTI in the States to see if they have any parts left over from the 3 decades that they represented FMD.

GTI Technologies, Inc. - Order Parts

Another straw to grasp at is to see if you can place a "Wanted" on German eBay. You can place that in English or eMail me of list and I'll return a translation to you.

A whole bunch of NOS FP2NC chip trays hanging in my barns rafters. Since shipping would be an issue I suggest picking it up during your EMO visit in 3 weeks. Surely an event you won't miss?
