Frustrated with Mori SV500 spindle unlocking on M00

I have 2 1998 Mori Seiki sv500s made within a month of each other. I have a Haimler taster as tool #1 for setting work offsets. I use it to adjust offsets on every part sometimes. following will be some code as an example.
The first mill will run this fine. It stops at M00, I hit offset button, change the offset, hit the mem button, hit the green button and away we go. Tool #1 is labeled a sensor tool in the control.
If the sensor tool rotates for any reason, it will alarm. The 1st mill locks the spindle and door the whole time. The second mill unlocks the spindle and door on M00 and then sets a sensor rotate alarm. Is there a parameter to keep the spindle and door locked at M00?
I had some great help for the Gentlegiant on the CNC Zone forum. I've compared the keep relay settings on both controls and they are the same. Gentle suggested I come here and ask this question, so here I am. Following is a link to my post at CNC Zone. I was unable to link for some reason. The title is the same over there.
The control is fanuc 18iMA.

What if you called the tool an endmill? I use a 3d sensor on all our machines and never lock the spindle. I just make sure that the dial faces the operator when it gets loaded into the spindle.

Or if you want the spindle to stay locked in a certain position try using M19 S?? For spindle orientation angle.

I've mistakenly spun the spindle to 10000 rpm with a dial indicator, its not pretty. With it labeled as a sensor tool, it will never see any revs.

Have you tried dmg mori service? They will set you up with a tech and maybe you could download the parameters from each machine and see if and what is different?

I could contact them, and I might, but then what would I learn. The more one understands their machine and how it works, the better.

Go to your Sensor Setting screen, if you have it, hit (CUSTOM key - TOOL soft key) and enter the number of your Sensor Tool into the Sensor 1 area by moving the cursor, entering the value and hitting the SET soft key, then EXIT. According to my Operation Manual 1, the following happens. (MSC518)

"With this setting, the sensor tool interlock function becomes valid when a sensor tool is mounted to the spindle to disable automatic and manual spindle rotation."

Don't concern yourself with Spindle Tool and Empty Pot on the same page. Unless there's been trouble, these should take care of themselves. Sensor 2 is obviously for if you're running two Spindle sensors.

Hope this helps.

I broke down and talked to David at DMG Mori today. He was able to resolve this within minutes. I changed parameter K461 from a 3 to a 1. Hopefully this will help the next person.20191016_110948.jpg
