HiCELL 23II ATC Problems

Hello everyone! I'm having an issue with an old, worn-out Mori-Seiki HiCELL 32II Mill-Turn lathe we just got. It has a tool magazine in the back of the machine like a Machining Center. During a tool change, it hung up and wouldn't do anything. I finally pried it away from the turret and got the ATC arm to retract out of the machining space, but now it just won't do anything. I've tried the recovery process, but that doesn't seem to be doing anything either. The pocket facing the ATC arm is unclamped, and the shutter door is open, but I can't get either to change. The machine will not home out or move in any way at all. I'm assuming it thinks it is still in the midst of a tool change, but I cannot figure out how to get it to read that it isn't. Can anyone offer any help?
