Default SL-25SY coolant in auto mode MSC-516 / Fanuc 16T

So I've been testing out a post processor for the machine, and it came time for an M8 command but the coolant pump never kicked on. Control sat there and waited but nothing happened, tried pressing cycle start again like single block mode but no change, held down the coolant off button and it continued. Auto mode with the door shut and override key off, afaik it should just turn on the coolant. Now my poor little 5/32 HSS drill exploded inside of a deep hole.

Coolant works just fine in both MDI and the button on the panel. A quick search leads me to believe there might be some parameter that isn't set right with regard to flood coolant in auto mode. The machine arrived with dead batteries so I've went over most of the params with DMG Mori support.

Any and all ideas are appreciated.

Just had a thought, apparently on some machines you have to have the spindle turning before turning the coolant on. I'm going to try that in the morning.

    Nope, no such luck.
