Hello,

The tool magazine wheel will rotate back and forth if I grab hold of it and rotate it back and forth, maybe 5 or 10 degrees. My tool changes don't match with the spindle well due to this and it hits hard at times when changing.

It is time for us to pull the unit apart and fix it.

Anyone with experience and can pass along their wisdom would be greatly appriciated.

Here is a video of the problem: http://www.sunspotedm.com/toolchanger.html

The machine is a 1999 Deckel Maho machining center (DMG).

Thanks, Chuck

For my curiosity, what the heck is a 103V ? Is it Deckel or DMG ? What year is it ?

I think your in luck.

At least the motor it self is not suppose to move, this is a problem with bolts that holds the motor unit / or you might have a broken plate somewere
This is not going to be hard to fix.
just go take a look under while someone moves the magazine.
just be sure to have it in the right place when you fasten the bolts un less you know how to change the motor´s ref. point.
I´m on maturnity leave right now but Ill go and have a look at my DMG 103V magazine and confirm the diagn.
Good luck
