Hi Guys,

Does anyone know if most wire cut machines run on both, 50 and 60hz. I am thinking of buying a machine that normally runs on 380/50hz. The voltage transformation is not a problem, these converters are reasonably priced. It seems like most American machines run on either 50 or 60hz, is it the same with European/overseas stuff? The seller says it is not a problem but I would like another opinion. ANY INPUT IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!
THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

The spec plate on the CNC control for my '95 AGIE says:

The AC100 and older AGIE wire machines were originally set up for 50hz for europe and 60 hz for the US. The big difference between the AC100 type 50 hz to 60 hz was the pumps on the water unit. At 60 hz the pumps run faster. There were by passes that we put on the 60 hz machines to reduce the extra pressure.

Only the older DEM612 - DEM315 had a switch to change from 50 to 60 hz. The AC100 and newer machines electronics have no problem on either 50/60 hz.

Are you purchasing a used machine from an overseas company or from a company in the US.
